Bill
Executive Vice President

Bill Knauf

Bill grew up locally in Glendale. He studied business at USD and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Bill grew up locally in Glendale. He studied business at USD and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Shortly after college, Bill joined his family insurance agency in 1978. His focus is on providing business insurance to his commercial clients with an emphasis on small to medium size companies who benefit from the breadth of knowledge he brings to the table. In 1999, along with his partners, Bob Knauf and Bill Olhasso, Knauf Insurance Agency joined Arroyo Insurance Services. The decision to join Arroyo was a natural, as Bill, Bob and Bill could continue to operate their branch office while gaining the benefits of being involved with a large regional broker.

Bill has been involved in the local Insurance Association for years and was president in 1995. He is also involved in Glendale Rotary and Pasadena Elks Lodge.

Justin
Vice President

Justin Di Bene

Responsible for leading middle market commercial marketing efforts and key client acquisition for Knauf Maxwell Insurance.

After obtaining his BS in Business Administration and Management from CSUN, and after a stint in the construction and restaurant industries, Justin started his own insurance agency with 2 partners in 2014. 3 years later, he met Bob and Bill Knauf and has since been an integral part of the organization. Justin is now responsible for leading middle market commercial marketing efforts and key client acquisition for Knauf Maxwell Insurance and Foundation Risk Partners.

Justin’s focus is on mid-sized companies in the manufacturing, construction, and professional services sectors, among others. Justin helps clients not only place complex insurance and alternative risk management solutions, but assists with implementing HR, benefits, payroll, safety, and contractual review.

Justin is a motorsport enthusiast, and loves to spend time with his young children. As a family man and dedicated professional, Justin serves his referrals, clients, and partners with integrity and passion.

Bob
Executive Vice President

Bob Knauf

Bob works with business clients in developing comprehensive insurance programs that fit with each of their unique risk tolerance.

Bob started his insurance career in 1982 and works with business clients in developing comprehensive insurance programs that fit with each of their unique risk tolerance. From new start-up businesses to mature companies, Bob works to align insurance premiums with their budgetary needs while explaining and educating clients on products to help reduce their risk profile. He enjoys working with all types of companies, including providing his expertise to start-ups looking for budget-conscious solutions in the early years and educating owners and management on their needs as a company grows.

Bob grew up in Southern California, attended college at CSU Chico, and worked in banking for four years before joining the insurance industry. He is married with two children and enjoys refereeing soccer for AYSO. He is also a lifelong snow skier, which he enjoys.

Vice President

Tim Goodrich

Tim Goodrich is one of only a few nonprofit insurance agents in California who comes from the nonprofit sector.

Tim Goodrich is one of only a few nonprofit insurance agents in California who comes from the nonprofit sector. After serving 4 years in the military, including 3 deployments to the Middle East, Tim co-founded a nationwide nonprofit veteran’s organization. Since then, he’s served as a staff member, board member, volunteer, and consultant to various nonprofits.

Tim earned a Master’s in Public Administration from USC and served two terms as a Councilmember in the City of Torrance. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, and flying.

Juliann Balla

Juliann is passionate about helping others through proactive risk management and a personal, consultative approach.

Juliann is passionate about helping others through proactive risk management and a personal, consultative approach. She has been helping clients navigate the insurance waters since 1988. Juliann’s attention to detail and superior client service makes her a valuable member of the Knauf Maxwell team.

Juliann currently serves as a personal lines broker specializing in crafting insurance programs for High-Net-Worth families and individuals. She also manages the personal lines department coordinating the efforts of her team to always provide the best options and solutions for our clients.

Juliann values education as she believes there is always something new to learn in the insurance industry. She holds a National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research designation for both a Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Personal Risk Manager.

Juliann has two beautiful daughters and three amazing grandchildren she loves to spend time with.

Bruce
Executive Vice President

Bruce L. Maxwell

Bruce worked as a CPA for six years before joining the family business at his dad’s insurance agency.

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at UC Berkeley and his MBA at USC, Bruce worked as a CPA for six years before joining the family business at his dad’s insurance agency. Over the past 30 years in the insurance business, Bruce has served as President of the local association and Director of the statewide Independent Insurance Agent and Brokers organization where he earned numerous leadership awards for service to the community.

In 2012, Bruce founded his own successful commercial insurance agency and joined Arroyo Insurances Services in 2015.

Sam
Vice President

Samuel Maxwell

With digital hacking and ransomware attacks on the rise, he is a specialist in cyber liability insurance.

Born and raised in Los Angeles before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sam is otherwise a life-long resident of LA. Serving the community as a third-generation commercial insurance broker, Sam enjoys meeting new and prospective clients, and educating business owners about the modern risks their business’ face.

With digital hacking and ransomware attacks on the rise, he is a specialist in cyber liability insurance. In addition, Sam is also an expert is worker’s compensation insurance, implementing loss control measures, and working with businesses to reduce and close out existing claims.

He is an avid sports fan, exceedingly proud Badger alumni, competitive fantasy football player, amateur golfer, and an expert in breakfast burrito and deli-sandwich establishments across the city.
